Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park
This covers a hilly area with an old palace and
historical temples. It is located on a 92-metre high
hill in the city of Phetchaburi. This summer palace
was built by King Rama V in 1860. It was named
“Phra Nakhon Khiri Palace” by local people called
it “Khao Wang”. It is comprised of royal halls,
palaces, temples and other buildings where were
elegantly constructed in mix of Thai, Western and
Chinese architectural styles.

Description
The Place is located on Phetkasem Road, one kilometre from downtown. You can get the top (92 metres from ground) by walking or cable car. There is a festival (light and sound presentation) celerbrating local history

Local Transportation
Car: From Bangkok , drive along Highway no. 35 (Thonburi-Pak Tho), passing
Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram provinces and then take Highway no. 4 to
Phetchaburi province, a total distance of 123 kilometers. Alternatively, you can
proceed via Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi provinces and go to Phetchaburi
province.
Bus: There are air and non air-conditioned bus services to Phetchaburi province
departing from Thonburi 's The Southern Bus Terminal daily. It takes time about
2.5 hours
Train: Take a train from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station to Phetchaburi province
and take a bus or taxi to destination.
Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
