Koh Samed

Koh Samed is located at Rayong Province in the East region of Thailand and is very popular in Rayong because it's full of scenery and beaches. There are many kinds of accommodation where you can choose.

Description

Koh Samed is 6.5 kms from Ban Phe and can be visited all the year except in May due to Monsoon. The most popular beaches are Sai-Kaew beach and Wong-Duan where is clean and stretch on the East Coast but on the west coast the beaches are dominated by cliffs and rocks.

However, Ao Prao beach on the north coast is very beautiful and good for both swimming and snorkeling.

Local Transportation

  • Car: Take highway no. 3 ( Sukhumvit Rd. ) or Motorway (pay-rolled highway) to Rayong and then drive for about 19 kms from Amphur Muang (Rayong) to Baan Phe market. You will find Pier for going to Koh Samed.
  • Bus: Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai - Sukhumvit 63) to Rayong province daily.
  • Train: Leaving daily from Bangkok's Hualumphong Railway Station to Rayong.

    • Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
