Doi Inthanon National Park

With 1,005 sq km park covering Thailand's highest mountain (2,565 metres), Doi Inthanon is the highest peak in the Thailand and is the last of the great Himalayan range. The lovely Wachirathan, Siriphum and Mae Pan waterfalls share the mountain with Meo and Karen hill tribe settlements.

Description

The forest above 1,800 metres is covered with lichens and wild orchids. The park contains native flora and fauna including many rare flowers. If you wish to get cooler and fresher and would like to escape from being chaotic and severity of city life, travelling to Doi Intranon will be rewarding.

Local Transportation

  • Bus: Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Northern and North-Eastern Bus Terminal (Mochit 2) daily.
  • Train: Leaving daily from Bangkok's Hualumphong Railway Station to Chiangmai both normal and express train.
  • Air: Take a flight leaving Bankok to Chiang-Mai at International Airport everyday.
  • Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
