Phru Kradung National Park

Phu kradueng National Park is located at 70 kilometres from Loei province on the Khon Kaen -Loei Highway. The visitor‘s goal is to walk up to the top and conquer the sloping distance of 1,325 metres above sea level. At the top of Phru Kradueng is a wide plain of about 60 sq km. There is a pine forest and a grass field including flowers and orchids that bloom in the different seasons. Aditionally, there are several waterfalls and view points that provide spectacular views during sunrise and sunset.

Description

Trip to Phu Kradueng, starting at Pha Nok Khao where is the boundary between Khon Kaen and Loei. And then take a mini-bus or service car to the park office at the foot of the mountain and walk up to the top of the Phu Kradueng about 6 kilometres on slope. The park is open during October to May and closed during rainy season to maintain and restore the flora and fauna.

Local Transportation

  • Bus: Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Northern and North-Eastern Bus Terminal (Mochit 2) daily.
  • Train: There is no train going directly to Loei. You may take train to Udonthani or Khon Kaen from Bangkok 's Hualumphong Railway Station and then take to Loei by bus.
  • Air: Take a flight leaving Bangkok to Loei but should check flight schedule in each week.

    • Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
