Southern of Thailand

Both eastern and western part in Southern of Thailand is dominated with Andaman sea and Gulf of Thailand but the southern part is next to Malaysia. There is the narrowest part of Thailand called "Kho Khort Kra" or Kra Isthmus. Because the southern part shares border to Malaysia, most pepole around there are muslim especially for Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.

The western coast is steep coast but there are many beatiful islands on the western part (Andaman sea) such as Koh Tao, Koh Nang-Nguan, Koh Surin, Koh Phi-Phi, Koh Similan, etc. Koh is pronounced in Thai language and means "island".
