Saiyoke Waterfall

Saiyoke Waterfall, located at the Saiyoke National Park in Kanchanaburi province, is one of the most beautiful in Thailand. It's from 100 kilometres from downtown. There are Saiyoke-Yai or Khao-Jone waterfall and Saiyoke-Noi or Khao-Phang waterfall. The fall flows down in tiers from limestone mountain surrounded by virgin forest. There is robe bridge for walking to the waterfall and many footpaths for studying natural wildlife. Near the Kwai river, you will see rafts for rent to floating along Kwai river. This is one of activities which tourists like to do.

Description

They are originated from limestone mountain in many tiers.There is a trail to the waterfall from the wildlife shelter. There are many view points to admire the impressive scenes in the national park by walking. They have not been lack of water but are full during July to October. Except for waterfalls, there are caves in this area where are bats shelter. They will make a living in the night. It's very famous scene in the world if you can see.

Local Transportation

  • Car: Driving along highway no. 4 (Phetkasem Road) passing Nakhonpathom and Ratchaburi province and upon Tha-Maka district, Kanchanaburi province and turn to Saiyoke National Park.
  • Bus: Air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal about 3 hours to Kanchanaburi.
  • Train: Take train to Kanchanaburi from Bangkok's Thonburi Railway Station (Bangkok-Noi Railway Station)
  • Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
